SEASPAN

Seaspan Shipyards won a competition in 2011 to build large non-combat vessels for Canada’s Coast Guard and Navy, including the Polar Icebreaker, at its purpose-built Vancouver shipyard. However, the government removed the Polar Icebreaker from Seaspan’s production lineup in 2019, creating a multi-year production gap at the shipyard. This decision put Seaspan’s previous success at risk.

#DontLetGoCanada is a coalition of over 40 space sector companies across the nation who have mobilized an effort to keep Canada in the International Space Program. With MDA, and Prospectus Associates we are aiming to build a national space strategy that will further secure our nation’s role and our nation’s aerospace industry. Due to the success of the campaign, on February 28th, 2019, Justin Trudeau announced: “Canada is going to the moon.” This secured our long term future to explore the moon and eventually Mars via the Lunar Gateway Project and keep our leadership position strongly in place for the decades to come.

#BETTERDELTAPORT For over 100 years Global Container Terminals (GCT) has been one of the most successful port operators in the world. Nestled off the mainland coastline in Delta, British Columbia, Canada’s busiest port Deltaport has been increasingly growing to meet the changing needs of the ocean shipping industry and support Canada’s quality of life. GCT’s Deltaport has expanded 3 times in the past to meet these growing demands and is now once again having to increase capacity to keep up. Their answer is a 4th expansion called Deltaport 4. It is a smart, phased expansion that will expand as needed with a focus on creating minimal impact on the environment.

#MISSIONMDA

Building on the momentum of Canada’s $2.1 billion investment in the space sector thanks to our successful #DONTLETGOCANADA Campaign, MDA ramped up hiring to keep Canada’s legacy in space alive. MDA has been a leader in Canada’s space industry, creating some of the most iconic robotics in the world. From Canadarm2 to Dexter to various sensors, vision systems, and planetary instruments currently operating in space, MDA has been at the forefront from the start and shows no signs of slowing down.

THE NEW CSC

Irving Shipbuilding has partnered with Lockheed Martin Canada to lead a design team consisting of CAE, MDA, L3 Harris, Ultra, and BAE Systems, as well as other suppliers, to design and integrate the combat management system for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) ship in Canada. This consortium of companies is well-known for their expertise and are working together to bring the CSC project to fruition.

CCA

With 21% of workers set to retire in the next decade, Canada’s construction industry will need to recruit 300,000 workers to meet future demand. The sector is evolving and should be considered a “career of choice” and CCA’s “Talent Fits Here” campaign is a step towards inspiring a new generation to join the industry.  The campaign also hopes to entice the government to invest in areas like training and removing some barriers that are currently impeding the growth of the sector.

RANDOM SALAD

Neptune Blue has been working with Random Salad Games to create in-game video ads for its library of casual games. Using their existing assets, we create 15 and 30 second ads, adding effects and motion where we can while also adhering to the existing brand and game screens. Neptune Blue was pleasantly surprised when they approached us for something a bit different. Random Salad asked us to provide all in-game cut scenes, gameplay sound effects and original compositions for the main theme music and ambient music for a new release focused on their own IP.

Random Salad Games pride themselves on making games that players of all ages can enjoy and we enjoy working with them.
